BEWARE OF SCAMS         SHOP LOCAL

The most important step in the entire process is finding a local contractor and one that is licensed and you TRUST.  Fly-by-night companies love chasing storms, and you risk never seeing them again after your repairs.  This means if you have any problems with your repairs, you will likely never get them to your home again.  Be careful not to fall victim to these scams!  You can count on your local contractors to be around if you need them.

STEP 1 - INSPECTION

Our team will come out and inspect your property. We may find that you do not have extensive enough damage to warrant an insurance claim. However, should we find that you do need to file a claim, our inspection report will provide a clear analysis of the state of your roof. This will provide the necessary documentation to begin discussing your coverage with your insurance company.

STEP 2 - FILE A CLAIM

If we determine that you do have enough damage to your property to substantiate an insurance claim, this is the time to reach out to your insurance carrier to begin the claims process.

STEP 3 - ADJUSTER MEETING

You will be assigned an insurance adjuster who will come to your home to inspect your roof and any other damage your property may have sustained.

STEP 4 - INITIAL INSURANCE ESTIMATE

Once the insurance adjuster has surveyed your property’s damage, they will provide an estimate for repairs and present you with your first check toward your claim. At this time, you should share this estimate with us, so we can review it and make sure the estimate properly reflects the costs of the necessary repairs.

STEP 5 - MORTGAGE CHECK

If you have a mortgage on your property, it is critical that you send your check to your mortgage company to have it endorsed. Not doing this step can hold up the claim process.

STEP 6 – ADDITIONAL EXPENSES SUPPLEMENT PROCESS

If damage was missed by your insurance adjuster such as applicable code items, or additional damage not properly noted on your claim, we will provide you with this information and this should be submitted to your insurance company. Once it is reviewed, the insurance company will provide a revised estimate and additional payment information.  We can work with your insurance company to help provide this additional information if necessary, including pictures so that your home receives the necessary repairs, and you are given the proper compensation to cover the costs.

STEP 7 - CONSTRUCTION

After all the above steps are complete in the claim process, your repairs can finally begin. We will then order the necessary materials and begin construction on your project.

STEP 8 - INVOICING

Once your project has been completed, our office will provide you with a final invoice for you to submit to your insurance company reflecting all the work that was done on your property. If you need assistance with this and wish for us to submit it to your insurance, please provide us with the email information and we are happy to forward invoices to your insurance carrier.  Once received, it usually takes your insurance company 5-10 business days to process the paperwork and submit final payment.

STEP 9 - PROJECT CLOSE

Once the final payment is received, please notify us. We will schedule a time to come to your property to collect the final payment.  After the final payment is made, we will get all your warranty paperwork completed and provide you with a copy for your records.
